That program has included ride and handling, engine calibration, transmission calibration, towing performance, software and durability.

Early development vehicles accumulated more than 35,000km of Australian testing, including work through the Flinders Ranges, Victorian High Country and Big Desert.

Most importantly for towing buyers, GWM specifically worked on:

Brake-controller functionality.

Cruise-control operation while towing.

Transmission calibration optimised for heavy-load towing.
